1978年(nian)我國(guo)恢(hui)復研(yan)究生(sheng)(sheng)招(zhao)生(sheng)(sheng)制度(du)，我院即(ji)成(cheng)立了研(yan)究生(sheng)(sheng)工作小組，開始(shi)招(zhao)收碩士研(yan)究生(sheng)(sheng)。1981年(nian)開始(shi)招(zhao)收博士研(yan)究生(sheng)(sheng)。1985年(nian)成(cheng)立北京(jing)有色金屬(shu)研(yan)究總院研(yan)究生(sheng)(sheng)部。
現有(you)兩個(ge)一(yi)級博士(shi)(shi)、碩士(shi)(shi)學位授(shou)權學科：材料(liao)科學與工(gong)(gong)(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)、冶金(jin)工(gong)(gong)(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)，另有(you)分析化學、礦(kuang)物加工(gong)(gong)(gong)工(gong)(gong)(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)兩個(ge)碩士(shi)(shi)學位授(shou)權點，具有(you)材料(liao)科學與工(gong)(gong)(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)、冶金(jin)工(gong)(gong)(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)兩個(ge)博士(shi)(shi)后(hou)科研(yan)流(liu)動站，并與多家(jia)企業(ye)聯(lian)合建立(li)博士(shi)(shi)后(hou)工(gong)(gong)(gong)作(zuo)站。
