1978年(nian)我國恢復研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)(sheng)招(zhao)生(sheng)(sheng)制度，我院(yuan)即成立了研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)(sheng)工作小組(zu)，開始(shi)招(zhao)收碩士(shi)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)(sheng)。1981年(nian)開始(shi)招(zhao)收博士(shi)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)(sheng)。1985年(nian)成立北京有色金屬研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)總院(yuan)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)(sheng)部。

現(xian)有兩個(ge)一級博(bo)(bo)士(shi)、碩士(shi)學(xue)(xue)位(wei)授(shou)(shou)權學(xue)(xue)科：材料科學(xue)(xue)與(yu)工(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)、冶金(jin)工(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)，另(ling)有分析化學(xue)(xue)、礦物加工(gong)工(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)兩個(ge)碩士(shi)學(xue)(xue)位(wei)授(shou)(shou)權點，具有材料科學(xue)(xue)與(yu)工(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)、冶金(jin)工(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)兩個(ge)博(bo)(bo)士(shi)后科研(yan)流動站，并與(yu)多(duo)家企業聯(lian)合建(jian)立(li)博(bo)(bo)士(shi)后工(gong)作站。
